Donald E. Gano passed away at his home in Smith, Nevada on Wednesday morning, July 25, 2012. He was 79.

Don was born in Spokane, Washington on January 18, 1933 the son of Walter and Lillian (Dunning) Gano. Don had served in the US Army. He had worked many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator. In December 2011 he moved to Smith, Nevada from Sacramento, California.

Don is survived by his wife, June of Smith, Nevada; and his children and grandchildren.

Don's funeral will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington, Nevada with Pastor Bob Bridges officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Smith.
