Obituary
Ada M. Johnson died Sunday, October 23, 2016 of natural causes at her home in Yerington, Nevada, at the age of 95.
The daughter of Christen and Christina (Peterson) Thonesen, she was married to Malcolm Johnson for 56 years, until his death in 2000.
Together they traveled extensively, visiting most of the United States along with countries in Europe and Asia. An excellent seamstress, she sewed everything from clothes to car seats. Growing up on a farm in Kendall, Wisconsin with five sisters and two brothers during the great depression gave her a strong work ethic and the determination to make her own way, and with much help from the wonderful people in Yerington she remained independent until the end.
She is survived by five children, four grandchildren and two great granddaughters.
No funeral service is currently planned, her cremated remains will be buried with her husband at the Northern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Fernley. Family and friends are invited to sign her online guest book at www.FRFH.net.
