Obituary

Alison Jean Cornmesser passed away on Tuesday afternoon, February 20, 2007 at South Lyon Medical Center, Yerington. She was 72.

Alison was born July 12, 1934 in Paisley, Oregon the daughter of Dell and Helen (Rugg) Overton. She had married Harold Lee Cornmesser in 1950. She had lived in Yerington since 1966. They had moved from Pleasanton, California where they had managed a ranch for 13 years. She had worked many years as secretary for the Yerington Vineyard Church.

She is survived by her children, Robert and his wife Tanya of Fernley, Margaret and her husband Montie Dennis of Gabbs, Nevada and David and his wife Deborah of Starr Valley, Nevada; her eight grandchildren, Tappan Cornmesser, Catherine Iverson, Beckey Well, Barabara Hickox, Brenda Rose, Eric, Steve and Jayme Cornmesser; 13 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Harold, who passed away on October 2, 2003.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, February 24th at the Yerington Vineyard Church with Pastor David Chism and Pastor Tom Chism officiating.

Family requests donations be made in her name to Yerington Vineyard Church 307 Broadway Yerington, NV 89447. These donations will be placed toward meals for the Holiday season.
