Obituary

Allen L. Bishop passed away on Wednesday morning, July 9, 2008 at the South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington, Nevada. He was 88.

Allen was born in Loveland, Colorado on August 22, 1919 the son of Arch and Mollie (Schlothower) Bishop.He married Erma Cooper in Ogden, Utah on December 18, 1942. He was an Army veteran serving during World War II. He worked as a cement Mason and loved camping and riding his Quad. He lived in the Yerington area for the past 4 years coming from Rio Linda, California. He was a member of the Copper Hills Bible Church.

He is survived by his Son, DuWayne and his wife Karen Bishop of Yerington, Nevada; His twin brother, Albert of Carmichael, California, and his youngest brother, Gene of Hollister Idaho; his grandchildren who called him 'Pappy', Benjamin Bishop, Brian Souza and Gary Souza; his great grandchildren, Sadie Souza and Dylan Strouse; and by his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Erma and a son, Leroy.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm at the Rocklin Cemetery in Rocklin, California. A memorial service will be held at a later date here in Yerington.
