Obituary
Andrew 'Andy' Russell Schendel passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the South Lyon Medical Center/Long Term Care in Yerington. He was 82.
Andy was born in Turlock, California on June 15, 1935 the son of Henry and Helen (Leedom) Schendel. He was a veteran having served in the United States Navy. He married Sally Lyon in California May 1972.
He lived the past 13 years here in Yerington, prior to coming to Yerington he and his wife spent time RVing.
He is survived by his wife, Sally; his two sons, Rick and his wife Carolyn and Scott and his wife, Dee; his four granddaughters and four great granddaughters; his brother, Richard and his sister, Betty. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, David and three siblings.
A military honors service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, February 16 at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 in the afternoon at the family home, 5 Brown Lane Yerington.
