Percy Andrew 'Andy' Straw, Jr. passed away at his home on Monday morning, December 10, 2007 in Yerington, Nevada. He was 82.

Andy was born in Jamestown, New York May 16, 1925 the son of Percy and Pauline (DeKay) Straw.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He received two purple hearts. Andy worked various jobs and he was a 'Jack of all trades'. He loved singing and playing the guitar. He put his heart and soul into everything he did, he loved the gift of life. He spent half of his life in California and moved to Yerington in 1965. He loved it so, he called it "God's Country".
Andy met and married Irene in 1946. They celebrated 61 years of marriage. Your family and friends will miss you so much, We love you Daddy! God Bless you, Andy Straw!

He survived by his wife, Irene and his children, Jim, Joe, Charles, Michael, Charline and Kathi; twenty-two grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Bud and Skip Straw; four sisters, Virginia Tucker, Carol Keatly, Shirley Baker and Beverly Kleschick.

Private family service has been held. The family has asked that donations may be made in his name to the Disabled Veterans of America.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington, Nevada 89447 (775) 463-2911.
