Obituary
Angelina G. Molina (Ann Conway) died peacefully in Tucson, Arizona, March 21, 2008 at her home. She was 64.
She was born in Schurz, Nevada on July 26, 1943 the third child born to Ernest and Ruby (McCloud) Conway and was raised in her hometown of Yerington, Nevada. She attended schools in Yerington and graduated from Yerington High School. She was a proud member of the Yerington Paiute Tribe. All of her childhood memories were created in Yerington and surrounding areas along with her parents, five brothers and five sisters. She recalled these memories as 'good times'. She left Yerington in 1970 for Los Angeles, California where she met her husband Tranquilino V. Molina, they were married December 18, 1973 and they moved to his hometown of Tucson, AZ in 1975 where they resided for 33 years with their four children. She worked for the University of Arizona as a Credentials Evaluator Senior for 11 years and retired in December 2000. She was a very proud wife and mother and was very fond of her husband's culture and beliefs of the Yaqui people. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. All our hearts will be filled with heartache and sadness but you taught us strength and acceptance so we'll be able to move forward.
She is survived by her husband; and her children, Pamela Conway, Christopher Molina, Angela Molina, Trisha Molina; her brother, Tim Conway of Yerington; her sisters, Christine Makahili of Oakland, CA, Ernestine Keeley of Yerington, Ruth Lever of Yerington and Lola Zamarippa of Yerington; her 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Fred Conway, Eugene Conway, Edward Conway, Walter Conway and sister, Phyllis (Chill) Conway.
A visitation will be held at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington, Thursday, April 3rd from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will be held 10:00 am Friday, April 4th at the Yerington Tribal Gym, 171 Campbell Lane. Interment will follow at the Valley View Cemetery. A potluck will be held at the Yerington Tribal Gym following the burial.
