Annabelle Schalberg passed away Wednesday evening, June 25, 2008 at the South Lyon Medical Center,LTC, Yerington. She was 86.

Annabelle was born in Rossville, Kansas on March 2, 1922 the daughter of Earl and Matilda (Shumacher) Searcy. She married Alfred 'Porky' Schalberg in Grand Junction, Colorado on September 2, 1939.

She enjoyed sewing, Quilt making and playing Pinochle and Shanghai Rummy. She lived in the Yerington area for 55 years, she was an avid seamstress, a volunteer for RSVP, a member of the Good Sam Club, and a member of Lyon County Musuem. She loved the outdoors and camping. She loved to have her family and friends around her.

Annabelle is survived by her children, Barbara (Gene) Saucier of Reno, Jeanette (Pete) Winkler of Redway, California, Dick (Diane) Schalberg of Bishop, California, Sherilyn (George) Ostrander of Yerington, Jackie (Becky) Schalberg of Reno, Nevada; she is also survived by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and by numerous nieces and nephews. By her brother, Robert Searcy and sister, Isabell Wilson. She was preceded in death by her Parents,
her husband Alfred 'Porky' Schalberg; her sisters, Lorene Forinash, Marge Gainey, and her brother, Ken Searcy and grandson, Casey Schalberg.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, June 28th, 2008 at the Lions Club House 11 North West Street Yerington, Nevada.
