Anne "Annie" Soprito went home to be with the Lord, February 12, 2019 in Yerington, Nevada.

Anne Alice Vautour was born on January 26,1924 in Scoudouc, New Brunswick, Canada to Peter and Lizzean Vautour. She was the second born of six children, four brothers and one sister.

She married Clifford Marks in 1943. They had three children together. In 1952 the family immigrated to the USA and settled in Houston, Texas.  Annie immediately found work to help support the family at the A&P grocery market as a cashier.  In the mid 1950's, the family moved to California, where she continued to work for the larger grocery markets. She loved her work, mostly because she loved being around people.

In 1967, Annie remarried, to a fine man, Peter Soprito.  She and Pete worked for years together, managing apartment units and then mini storage businesses in the Los Angeles and Chino areas.   After Pete passed away in 2000, Annie moved to Smith Valley to live with her daughter and son-in-law for a few years. She then moved to Yerington, where Mason Valley Residence became her forever home.  Unofficially, Annie became the "welcoming lady" to the new residents, always with a smile to say "hi" or just visit for a few minutes with everyone.  She loved them and they loved her back.

Every resident at Mason Valley Residence is always treated like family. In Annie's last days, the caregivers at MVR comforted her with so much love and compassion in their physical and emotional care that it is beyond words to describe what a blessing they all were.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Annie is survived by her son Dan Marks (Tammy), daughter, Marie Valentino (Lynn), three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. All of whom she loved dearly.  She is preceded in death by her husband Peter Soprito and son Joe Marks.  Also, by her parents and siblings. She truly will be missed.
