Obituary
Asenath (Ann) Fletcher passed away peacefully, on December 12, 2009 at the age of 89, at the Mason Valley Residence in Yerington, Nevada.
She was born and raised on a farm outside of Hollister, Mo., the youngest of 9 children born to Thomas Alexander and Gertrude McFarland. She spent most of her adult life in Modesto, CA, coming to Yerington in 2002. She had her own business as a hairdresser until 1964 when she went to work for the State Hospital System in Calif., as a care giver, until she retired.
Mrs. Fletcher is survived by one sister in Branson, Mo, Doris Reed. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Her son, Alex Seals, passed away in 1995 and her husband, Norman Fletcher, passed away in 1993. Remaining family members are her daughter, Toni Damon Crabtree, son-in-law, Philip Crabtree of Smith Valley and 2 grandchildren, Kinsie Damon and Jason Damon, both living in Reno. Jason's wife, Patty Lopez Damon is a Yerington native. Dominic Damon is her great-grandson. Asenath also leaves 3 living step-children.
The family wishes that donations be made in her name to Yerington Animal Protection Society ( YAPS). There are no services planned.
