Barbara Jean Nolan passed away Tuesday evening, February 5th, 2008 at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno from respiratory complications after a brief illness. She was 43.

Barbara was born in Fairfield, California on April 26, 1964 the daughter of Willis and Billie (Reinhardt) Guy. She had moved to Yerington in 1970. Barbara had worked as a teachers aide and then obtained her degree and became a teacher. At the time of her death she was a teacher at Yerington Elementary School. She had married John Nolan in Yerington on June 27, 1987.

She is is survived by her husband, John; her children, Scott Lewis, Rebecca Nolan and Phillip Nolan; her sister, Melissa Guy and her parents, Willis Guy and Billie Whitlock. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gregory.

A memorial service has been set for 10:00 am Saturday, February 9th at the Yerington Elementary Gym. A family memorial service has also been scheduled for 5:00 pm Wednesday, February 13th at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington. Inurnment will be at the Valley View Cemetery.
