Beatrice 'Bea' M. Fabri passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 3rd at the Renown Medical Center in Reno. She was 86.
Bea was born on October 14, 1920 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma the daughter of Charles and Effie Lee (Wells) Wood. She graduated from high school in Oklahoma City and attended a nursing program in that city. Bea met the love of her life Carol Fabri, when he was stationed at Ft. Sill, OK. The couple married in Carson City on December 11, 1945 and moved to Yerington. Bea, a resident of Yerington for 62 years was a wonderful homemaker who with Carol raised three daughters, worked occasionally when she was needed at the Fabri family owned businesses, Yerington Hardware and Fabri Furniture. Bea stayed very active in the lives of her children and grandchildren throughout her life. She was an active member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, St. Anne's Guild, Beta Sigma Phi International and the Red Hat Society at the time of her death. She also served as a volunteer grandparent at the Yerington Elementary for a number of years.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of almost 60 years, Carol. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn (Bill) Pal-Freeman of Apple Valley, MN, Lynda (Tom) Chism of Reno and Joyce (Russ) Colletta of Yerington; her grandchildren, Chris (Jean) Pal-Freeman, Matt Chism, and Josh and Aaron Colletta and one great granddaughter, Catherine Pal-Freeman; a niece and three nephews and many friends, Bea who loved life, family and friends will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A Rosary will be held 7:00 pm Sunday January 7th at Holy Family Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Monday, January 8th at the Holy Family Catholic Church 37 N. West Street Yerington. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery.
Donations may be made in her name to the American Heart Association.
