Bernard V. Florez passed away on June 9, 2007 at the South Lyon Medical Center, Long Term Care facility in Yerington, Nevada. He was 92.
Bernard was born in Prescott, Arizona on August 20, 1914 the son of Enrique and Rosa (Vaencia) Flores. He was a World War II veteran having served in the United States Army. He discharged from the Army in 1946 and received the Victory Medal, European African Middle East service Ribbon, American Theater of Operations ribbon and Good Conduct Medal. He had lived in tonopah, Sparks and Yerington and worked for the Postal Service for many years.
He is survived by his nephew, Henry Gonzalez of Phoenix. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Mercy on May 13, 2006.
Graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, June 14th at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery with military honors provided by the Veterans Memorial Association.
