Bessie Marie Sides passed away at her daughter's home in Silver Springs, Nevada on Thursday, August 29, 2013. She was 76.

Bessie was born in Cook County, Texas on December 29, 1936 the daughter of Moman and Helen (Hougue) LLoyd.

Bessie had married James Sides and they were married for over 38 years.

Bessie had lived the past year in Silver Springs, NV having come from Rosamond, California where she lived for over 25 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. She loved her family and her little dog, 'Buddy'.

Bessie is survived by her son, John Sides; her daughters, Brenda Porter and Susan Sides; her grandchildren, Matt Porter, Bo Porter, Michael Sides,Jerry Burgess, Tammy Franks, Johnny Sides and Adam Sides; her great grandchildren, Maybeline Lawson, Madison & Lyen Franks, Alexis & Tyler Burgess. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Glenn & Allen Sides; her brothers and sisters.

Graveside service will be held for Bessie 11:00 am Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the Upper Lake Cemetery, 780 Clover Valley Road, Upper Lake, California.
