Obituary
Bonnie Ruth Hammond passed away on Sunday afternoon, January 4, 2009 at the Renown Medical Center in Reno. She was 79.
Bonnie was born in Arkansas on June 6, 1929. She married Franklin Hammond in Los Angeles, California on June 30, 1946. She has lived in Yerington the past 21 years coming from Simi Valley, California. She enjoyed sewing and collecting dolls.
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Franklin Hammond; her sons, Chuck and Richard; her two sisters, Ruby and Niomi; her granddaughter, Jocelyn; her great grandchildren, John, Brian and Robert. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday, January 9th at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington, with Pastor Travis Walker officiating. Her cremains will be inurned at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
