Carl William Franklin died peacefully at home in Yerington, Nevada, on July 27, 2015. He was 76.

Carl was born in Los Angeles, California on September 5, 1938 the son of Carl and Marion Franklin. He graduated from Downey High School and attended Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.

Mr. Franklin was married to Doris Camille (Norfolk) Franklin on July 23, 1961. Carl worked in grocery stores while living in Arizona. Later he managed the Norfolk ranch, then retired from Yerington Intermediate School.

Carl is survived by his wife, Camille; his two sons, Shawn C. Franklin and his wife Laura, and Michael E. Franklin and his wife Sarah; his four grandchildren, Amber and her husband, Anders Boyd, Drew Franklin, Nathan and Evan Franklin, and one great grandson, Kaiden Boyd; also he is survived by his brother Harold and his wife Debbie, and his twin sister, Carol Franklin.

Carl enjoyed hunting with his dad, ranching, riding horseback, collecting antique guns, watching football and watching a good John Wayne Movie.

Carl's memorial service will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, August 4th at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Hwy 208 Yerington with Pastor Travis Walker officiating.
