Obituary
Carol Jean Nye passed away on Saturday afternoon, August 6, 2011 at the Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno. Carol was 70.
Carol was born in Denver, Colorado on January 20, 1941 the daughter of Charles and Elsie (Schauer) Lee. She lived most of her life in Nevada. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Carol loved to fish, camp, meet new people, travel, knit and crochet and do lots of things with her family. She married John Nye, III in Las Vegas on December 4, 1981.
Carol is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Pam and Mike; Peggy and Matt; Vickie and Tom; and Julie and Ben; her step sons, John Nye, IV; Gary Nye, and Stephen Nye; her brother and his wife, Richard and Lavette Lee; her seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Justin, Tom, Jennifer, Sean, Michael and Leeann; and her six great grandchildren and many cousins, Uncles and Aunts; and her dog, Jessie. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, John.
Carol's funeral service will be held 10:30 am Friday, August 12th at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery.
