Obituary

Carole Frances Acosta passed away early Saturday morning, December 12, 2009 at the Carson Tahoe Hospital in Carson City, Nevada.
She was 67.

Carole was born in Bell, California on February 12, 1942 the daughter of Frank and Glorine (Sigler) Donley. She was raised in the southern California area and attended Huntington Park High School, she completed her schooling at Anchorage High School in Alaska graduating in 1959. She had attended Rio Hondo College in Whittier, California majoring in bookkeeping. She worked from 1977 to 1985 as an independent truck driver. From 1985 to 1991 she worked for Rail Delivery in Los Angeles, CA as the traffic manager, and from 1991 to 1999 she worked at Arctic Cold Storage in Santa Fe Springs, CA also as the traffic manager. She worked for HFI enterprises in Smith from 2000 to August 2003 the year she retired.

Carole was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Smith. She was also a member of the Yerington Women of the Moose Club and also participated in various functions for the Knights of Columbus in Yerington and also at St. Gall's in Gardnerville.

Carole is survived by her husband, Rudy Acosta of Smith, NV; her Mother, Glorine Sigler of Valley Center, CA; her four children from her pervious marriage, Cindy Easton of Vancouver, Washington, Janis Fariss of Gravette, Arkansas, Jack Conright of Nikiski, Alaska and Kathy Leriget of Valley Center, California; her 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Carole's Rosary service will be held 7:00 pm, December 17th at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Smith. The Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Friday, December 18th at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Yerington. The burial will be at 12:30pm Friday at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Smith. A fellowship will follow the service at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Carole will be remembered as a loving Wife, Daughter, Mother and Friend. Donations may be made in her name and sent St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Smith.
