Cecilia Johnson-Emm died peacefully at her home in Yerington, Nevada on September 6, 2020, at the age of 78.

Cecilia was born in Yerington, Nevada to Juanita Conway-Johnson and Francis Johnson. Cecilia met and married her husband Elwood Emm Sr., and had five (5) children, she attended the local nursing program where she received her GED and attained her nursing license as an LPN. She worked as a nurse for 30 years, which included the following hospitals: St. Marys, Schurz Indian Hospital and South Lyon Medical Center. Cecilia also served as a board member on the Yerington Paiute Tribe Housing Authority and as a council member for the Yerington Paiute Tribal Council, respectively.

Those who knew Cecilia during her 30 years as a nurse knew her commitment to her job, strong work ethics, a respected teacher to CNAs training for their first day, she was loved by her co-workers, she made good judgements and quick decisions to provide the best care to her patients.

Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elwood Lee Emm Sr., sisters Shirley Johnson, Lorraine Johnson, Rosetta Johnson, and her son's Ace Emm and Lee Andrew Emm.

She is survived by her daughters Lindora Emm and Johanna Emm of Yerington, NV, and her son Elwood Lee Emm Jr. of Yerington, NV, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The Emm family wishes to express its gratitude to the RNs, caregivers and staff at Eden Hospice of Carson City, NV in her last days for the support provided to her family.
