Obituary

Charles "Marvin: Davis passed away at his home in Yerington on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 with his family by his side. He was 84.

He was born in Santa Rosa, New Mexico on November 19, 1931 the Son of Charles D. and Ivilena (Cox) Davis. Marvin married the love of his life, Mary Lou in 1952.

Marvin proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a driver and was stationed in England for 2 years. Upon his return he lived in Las Vegas until 1977 then moved to Douglas County. He worked for 40 years as a retail clerk and then spent 15 years as a bus driver for Douglas County School District before retiring in 1996. He was an active member of the Mason Valley Baptist Church and also belonged to the Masonic Lodge. He also enjoyed gardening, showing horses, fishing and singing.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; his sons, Danny and Tim; daughter, Cindy; granddaughter, Rebecca (Darren) Daniels and 4 great great children, Jaxin, Cameron, Bryanna and Sofia. He will be missed by all. Until we meet again, Papa.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 23 at the Mountain View Park in Yerington. Family and Friends are invited to sign his online guest book at www.FRFH.net.
