Christine Clare Walker passed away at her home in Yerington on Wednesday evening, November 8, 2017.  She was 87.

Christine was born in Santa Cruz, California on March 10, 1930 the daughter of Ray and Minnie Pollastrini.  She was the only child but never felt like one, because of her large extended family of uncles and aunts.  She graduated from Santa Cruz High School.  She married Raymond Walker in 1949, and they lived and worked in Santa Cruz most of their lives.

Christine loved to travel, and made the trip of their lives going to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.  They also wintered in Yuma, Arizona.  She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church and a member of the Italian Catholic Federation.

She is survived by her sons, Dale and daughter in law, Liza Walker of Yerington and Gary Walker of Salt Lake City; her grandson, Keenan Walker of Santa Cruz and many cousins here in the US and in Italy.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray and her uncles and aunts.

A visitation service will be held in Yerington and the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Hwy 208 on Friday, November 17, 2 - 5:00 pm.

Her funeral service and entombment will be 10:30 am Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery, 2271 Seventh Avenue Santa Cruz.  The cemetery contact phone is -  (831) 475-3222
