Constance 'Connie' Alpha Russell passed away on Saturday afternoon, October 24, 2009 at the South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington, Nevada. She was 97.

Constance was born in Santa Cruz, California on July 10, 1912 the daughter of Charles and Lydia (Johnson) Woodward. She worked as a banker for Bank of America for many years. Connie enjoyed Painting, sewing, ceramics and crafts. Connie lived in Yerington at the Mason Valley Residence for the past eight months and was at Merrill Gardens in Gardnerville for six years.

She is survived by her son, Charles J. Russell of Oakdale, California and her daughters, Patricia Schultz of South Lake Tahoe, California and Carol Perkins of Yerington, Nevada; by her grandchildren, Sherri Schultz of Antioch, CA, Mike Schultz of Colorado, Deanne Schultz of Pacheco, CA, Terri Esry of Central Point, Oregon, Lisa Perkins of Beaverton, Oregon, Sheila Perkins of Yerington, NV; by her great grandchildren, Anthony Elias, Lt. Danny Elias and Matthew Elias, Amy Gordon, Michael Schultz, Jr. Sgt. Ron Brossard, Darren Jackson, Jaime Guthry, Sanford Esry, Brandon Esry, Derek Perkins; her great great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Elias, Anthony Elias, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, Fremont Otis Neece and Arthur F. Russell; a sister, Edith McComb and a brother, Arthur Woodward.

Her Memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 3rd at Merrill Gardens 1565 Virginia Ranch Road in Gardnerville.
