Dale Roy Rhea passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011 at South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington, Nevada. Dale was 76.
Dale was born in Portales, New Mexico, the son of Roy and Mildred (Bedinger) Rhea. He was a veteran having served in the
U. S. Army.
Dale lived in Redding for thirty years before moving to Washington state. He ultimately retired in Yerington, Nevada where he built a home upon retiring. It took him a number of years to complete, as he built it himself, and was finally able to live in it for the last three months of his life.
Dale attended Shasta High School, though he spent his senior year at Mendocino High School. He went to Shasta College before working many years as a sheet metal worker. Dale loved playing sports, the outdoors, building, and the English mastiffs he raised. He will be remebered for his integrity, meticulous craftsmanship and his sharp wit.
Dale is survived by his three children, Kelly King, Traci Rhea and Cory Rhea; his seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren and five sisters and three brothers
A Memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, October 22nd at the VFW Hall 405 South Maine Street in Fallon. Everyone is welcome.
