Obituary
David H. (Davey) Fulstone II, went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, October 23, 2008. He died after a six month battle with lung cancer. He was 57.
David was born in Yerington, Nevada on December 23, 1950 the son of David and Angelina Fulstone. He lived in Yerington his entire life where he farmed with his Father for over 40 years.
David married Diane Reynolds on September 10, 1977. Davey was actively involved in politics his entire life, being named the youngest Lyon County Republican chairman. He was Nevada Farm Bureau President for 10 years during which time he went on two trade missions, one to five European countries and one to Japan. He and his wife, Diane also went on a bi-national exchange to Israel to study water conservation techniques and different farming methods.
David was appointed to the National Board of Agriculture Finance by President Reagan and served on the Walker River Irrigation District board. He served on the Mason Valley Fire Department Board and also served as chairman of the Desert Research Institute Board for two terms. David was also a Lyon County Commissioner for eight years. He was a member of Rotary and was President for two terms and was a Paul Harris Fellow. He also enjoyed having his own talk show on the local radio station, being the voice of KSVL.
David is survived by his wife, Diane; his two sons, Joshua and Jeffrey; his Father, David; his sister, DeeAnn Fulstone; and many more friends and family than can be counted. He was preceded in death by his Mother, and Grandparents, Fred & Dr. Mary Fulstone and Angelo & Josephina Margaroli.
A Rosary will be recited 7:00 pm Thursday, October 30th at the Holy Family Catholic Church 37 North West Street Yerington and the Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Friday at the Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Valley View Cemetery.
