Obituary
David Allan Hudson passed away at his home in Yerington, Nevada on Thursday, September 19, 2013. He was 58.
David was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 18, 1955 the son of G. LeRoy and Sally Anne (Lyon) Hudson. David was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps.
David married Sandra R. Silsby in Pine Grove, California on January 23, 1995.
He has lived in Yerington for the past 9 1/2 years. He enjoyed prospecting and wandering the desert. David had a unique sense of humor and always had a story. He rarely met a stranger and had many friends. His infectious laugh lifted other's spirit. He loved his family very much and will be truly missed.
David is survived by his wife, Sandra; his son, Eric Smith and daughter, Marlo and her husband, Gregg James; his Mother, Sally and her husband Andrew Schendel; his brothers, Rick and his wife Carolyn Hudson, Howard and his wife Connie Hudson and Scott and his wife Diane 'Dee' Schendel; his two granddaughters, Erica and Tabitha and 1 great grandson; his Aunts, Janice Hudson, Velma 'DD' Bott, and Charlotte Moss, and Uncle, Chip and his wife Cheri Lyon; also by 7 nieces, and cousins by the dozen in his large blended family. He was preceded in death by his Father, his grandparents and his Aunt Eunice Hudson, Uncles Jay Lyon and Ervin Hudson.
David's funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday, September 27th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 600 N. Oregon Street, Yerington. The service will conclude at the church with a reception lunch at the church. His burial will be with military honors 11:00 am Monday, September 30th at Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Fernley, Nevada.
