Obituary

Deborah Ann Weeks Giomi passed away on December 3, 2020 after a battle with cancer.

Debby was born on December 18, 1948 to Lon and Jeanne (Costello) Weeks at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, Washington.  She grew up in the Kent Valley surrounded by loving grandparents and mother, as well as her younger siblings, Cynthia and George.  She graduated from Kent Meridian High School in 1967, whereby she then attended Green River Community College.  After obtaining her business degree, she went to work for Seattle First National Bank.  Debby was promoted to a Washington state traveling auditor for the Bank of America.

During her time as a bank auditor, she visited her grandfather in Yerington, where she met her husband Joe Giomi.  Debby married Joe in March 11, 1978 in Seattle, WA then moved to Yerington, where they had 2 children, Cheryl and Carrie.  Debby joined Joe in the family business at Ace Hardware, working there until her divorce in 2007.

Debby enjoyed watching sports, especially football and the Seattle Seahawks, reading, trivia, and in her youth, riding horses.  She was active with the South Lyon Medical Center auxiliary and district board.

Debby is predeceased in death by her mother, Jeanne Masters, father Lon Weeks, several aunts and uncles, and her former husband Joe Giomi. She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Giomi of Yerington and Carrie (Ryan) Lippert of Bismarck, ND, granddaughters Brynn and Morgan Hawkey of Yerington, siblings Cynthia (Brent) Barron of Seattle, George Masters of Seattle, Barbara (Joe) DeLeon of Riverside, CA, Rock Weeks of Florida, and bonus grandchildren Ericka and Austin of Bismarck, ND, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to South Lyon Medical Center Foundation in Debby's name.
