Obituary
Delbert Eldon Ward passed away on Thursday afternoon, December 4, 2008 at South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington, Nevada. He was 82.
Delbert was born in Manhattan, Kansas the son of Delbert and Florance Ward. He was a Navy Veteran having served in World War II and the Korean War. He married Mary Lou in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 11, 1961. He enjoyed camping and fishing. He was a member of the VFW.
Delbert is survived by his wife beloved wife of 47 years, Mary Lou; his daughter, Kathy Galantuomini and her husband Steve; his brother, Alvin Ward; his sisters, Irene (Loren) Hodges, Marge Cooly, Ida Lou Zarger; his 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
His funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, December 13th at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington. Pastor Travis Walker will officiate and Military honors will be provided by the local VFW/American Legion. A visitation will be held Friday, December 12th 6 - 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will be on Monday at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemtery in Fernley.
