Dennis L. McCalip went to our Lord early Monday morning, January 12, 2009. He was 57 Years 5 Months 23 Days of age..
Dennis was born July 21, 1951 in Santa Maria, California the son of Charles and Juanita McCalip. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. Before moving to Luning he spent many years in Reno. Dennis worked for El Captain for 9 years and then had worked at the Army base for the past year. Dennis was a real homebody, he loved movies, traveling and fishing and just kicking back. He was a sweet caring man who loved his family and friends, his cat and dog and even had a favorite chicken named 'Homegrown'.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Dianna of Luning; his brothers, Norman Montechelle of Fernley and Allen Montechelle of Silver Springs; a daughter, Janina of Reno; a step-daughter, Jenny of Redding, CA; his aunts, Mona and Sue both of Seattle; his five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephes and cousins.
In keeping with his wishes no memorial service will be held. Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington, NV was in charge of the arrangements and cremation.
