Dianne Kay Thiessan-Smith-Getter passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the South Lyon Medical Center/Long Term Care in Yerington, Nevada.
She was 76

She was born August 30, 1938 in Kewanee, Illinois the daughter of Elmer and June (Smith) Thiessen.

Dianne was a Special Education Teacher in Illinois and California, was also a bookkeeper in Arnold, California. Dianne was a much loved house and pet sitter in Smith Valley. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi in Smith Valley and a long time member of the Smith Valley United Methodist Church. Dianne was also a house and pet sitter for many of us. We all knew how much she loved animals. In her memory donations may be made to the Yerington Area Cat Control (YACC) 125 Hwy 339 Yerington, NV 89447

She is survived by two sons, Paul and Mark Smith; Sister, Sandy (Bill) Clawson; nieces, Michelle Clawson and Brittaney Hancock; nephew, Bradley Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husbands, Don Smith and Ted Getter.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, July 18th at the Smith Valley United Methodist Church, following the service an ice cream social reception will be held at the church.
