Dody Newell passed away at
Renown Medical Center in Reno on Thursday, July 18, 2013. She was 81.
Dody was born in Exeter, California on August 21, 1931 the daughter of Austin and Vera Balaam.
Dody married Jim Newell in Las Vegas on October 1, 1949. He preceded her in death.
Dody was a kind and gentle person who loved her family more than anything. She was always there with a helping hand for anyone who needed it.
She is survived by her son, Danny (Vicky) Newell of Yerington; her daughter, Nikki (Richard) Bryan of Yerington; her brother, Don Balaam and sister, Jeannie Stillfield both of Yerington; her grandchildren, Barbara Menesini, Bonnie Bobrick, Laurie Borsini and Krissy Camarena; her great grandchildren, Brandon Thomas, Brittany Thomas, Brooke Menesini, Blair Menesini, Carlie Bobrick, Casey Bobrick, Kaylee Hanson, Candace Hanson, Jaden Borsini, Lexie Borsini, Austin Camerena, Bryson Camerena and Caitlyn Camerena; great great grandchildren, Natalie and Morgan Thomas.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Hwy 208 Yerington (775) 463-2911.
