Dolores Mearle Salas

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Dolores Salas.  Dolores passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Silver Oak Post Acute Care in Carson City.  She was 92.

Dolores was born September 10, 1933 in Yerington, Nevada the daughter of Joe and Luella (Summers) Salas

She was a very proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, Dolores served as an LPN with honor and dedication. She embodied the spirit of a true caregiver, bringing comfort to countless patients throughout her career. Her commitment to service continued through her many years of work with the Yerington and Reno Paiute Tribe medical departments.

Dolores loved to laugh, tell jokes, and enjoy life. Above all, she cherished her animals, her nieces and nephews, and her dear friend Kia, who became like a daughter to her. She was always there for anyone in need.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Velma Errea, and her nieces Corrie, Roseanne, Diane, Antoinette, Cheresa, Roger, Diana, and Marlene. She is also preceded by her great-niece Mishawn, great-great-niece Charliegh, and great-great-nephew Crew.
