Donald A. Duncan passed away on Saturday morning, November 24, 2007 at the South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington, Nevada. He was 81.
Donald was born March 27, 1926 in Stockton, California the son of Oscar and Irma Duncan. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as an accountant most of his professional life, but enjoyed his position as the Redwood City Harbor Master on the San Francisco Bay just prior to his retirement. Don enjoyed studying wine and was quite the wine connoisseur. He enjoyed traveling and boating and was a member of the Coast Guard Auxillary for over 20 years. Don married Betty Hermance on September 25, 1945.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty of Yerington; his four daughters, Sharon and her husband Art Frame of Cordes Lakes, Arizona, Karyn and her husband Michael Werner of Dayton, Nevada, Donna and her husband Larry Zarate of Stockton, California and Julea Cox of Tarkio, Missouri; his thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A private family service was held at the home of his daughter Karyn Werner. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington, Nevada 89447
