Donald Lyle Prachar, Jr. passed away at his home in Yerington, NV on Thursday morning, December 1, 2016. He was 80.

Donald was born May 15, 1936 in Winner, South Dakota the son of Donald and Helen Prachar. He was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force. He married Earline Funston September 1967 in Galt, California.

He worked as a Certified Public Accountant and was very dedicated to his profession. He enjoyed water sports and off roading on his Quad especially with his son-in-law, Gary. He had lived in Yerington for the past 10 years coming from Galt, CA.

He is survived by his wife, Earline; his Daughter, Karen Kay (Gary) Hardesty; his sister, Sharon Prachar Simmonds; his grandchildren, Christina Applegate, Laura Butcher; great grandchildren, Jack Applegate, Henry Applegate, Grace Butcher; Nieces, Brandy Archer, Dana Billick, Bilinda Duvon; nephew, Jere Bolin and numerous first and second cousins

A family Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 am Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the Carol Long Residence, 928 Chisholm Trail Gault, California and burial of the cremains will be Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 1:00 pm in Galt-Arno Cemetery.
