Obituary
Doris J. Boyer passed away on Saturday morning, May 10, 2008 at South Lyon Medical Center, Yerington. She was 88.
Doris was born in LaGrande, Oregon on June 8, 1919 the daughter of Thomas and Amma (Lester) Lovely. Doris graduated high school in LaGrande. She had worked as a certified welder for Boeing Aircraft in Everett, Washington during World War II. She had also operated a teen club and also worked as a butcher for many years in Baker, Oregon. She lived in Jordan Valley, Oregon, McDermitt, Nevada before moving to the Mason Valley in 1963, with her loving husband, Lester, who preceded her in daeth in 1998.
She is survived by her sons, Orville (Carol) Browning of Pleaston, California, Darrell (Genie) Browning of Yerington, Nevada, Dallas (Sue) Boyer of Round Mountain, Nevada; her daughter, Cora (Harold) Weekly of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her 20 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday, May 16, 2008 at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington. Her cremains will be buried next to her husband's at the Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada at a later date.
