Frances L. "Fran" McCandless passed away at her home in Yerington on Wednesday morning, November 19, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. She was 76.

Fran was born in Dallas, Texas on March 24, 1932 the daughter of James and Louise (Harkey) Warren.
She married Robert McCandless on April 22, 1949 in Dallas, Texas.

She had lived the past 35 years in Yerington. Fran had been a volunteer for many humantarian causes and spent her life helping others in the community. Her favorite pastimes was spoiling her great grandchildren and playing Bingo.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Robert (Mac); her sons and their wifes, Allen & Nola and David and Mary; her sister, Gwen Vawter; her 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was peceded in death by her parents and a brother.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the Community United Methodist Church 221 North Main Street Yerington.
