Obituary
Frances D. Lowe passed away with her daughter by her side on Thursday morning, July 16, 2009 at South Lyon Medical Center, Long Term Care in Yerington, Nevada. She was 91.
Frances was born in McKittrick, California on August 18, 1917 the daughter of Sam and Lolina Douglas. She married Edward Lowe in Taft, California on March 27, 1937. She had been a business owner in oil production for many years. She lived in Yerington for over 35 years. Frances was a very crafty person and had made tote bags that many still use today. She also enjoyed the outdoors, camping and gardening. She and her husband were very involved with the high school softball program.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Volina and her husband Tom Connolly; her 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; also by her sister, Sammie Lassley; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Delores Pond, he twin boys Dale and Gale and her husband Edward who passed away August 21, 1998.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Freitas rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington was in charge of the arrangements and cremation.
