Frances R. Vidal passed away on Wednesday afternoon, March 28, 2012 at the Carson Tahoe Hospital in Carson City, Nevada. She was 71.

Frances was born in Orange, California on March 25, 1941 the daughter of Richard and Bonnie (Graham) Gregg.

Frances had served as the Smith Valley Justice of the Peace and was the current Yerington Municipal Court Judge. She was also a member of the Smith Valley Rotary and had served as President.

Frances is survived by her husband, Mike of Smith Valley, her son, Rick and his wife Lorrie Edney of Smith Valley, William Edney; step son, Steve and his wife Debbie Vidal of Sparks, NV; her grandchildren, Wesley Edney of Sparks, NV, Travis Edney of Reno, NV, Levi Edney of Wildamare, CA, Allison and Taylor Vidal, Amanda Edney; Greatgranddaughter, Brianna Ramirez; her sister, Linda Christe and her parents Richard and Bonnie Gregg.

Frances's funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the Smith Valley High School gym, with Pastor Holly Hillman officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clint Berrington, Mike Fletcher, David Groso, Jack Marriott, Dan Smith and Rick Smith.
