Frank W. (Willie) Booth II, 63, passed away in a tragic accident while hunting with his beloved son, Charlie, in Elko, Nevada on September 29, 2016.
Born November 4, 1952, Willie, a lifelong native of Yerington, graduated from YHS in 1971. An outstanding athlete, Willie was inducted into the YHS football Hall of Fame. He continued his love of sports as a Little League baseball coach for several years.
He retired from the City of Yerington in 2008. At the time of his death, Willie was employed at D & S Waste. During his lifetime, Willie was known to often have more than one job at a time.
A founding member of the Josh Farler Helping Hands Foundation, Willie was serving as its president at the time of his passing.
Best remembered for his laugh, his contagious smile and his teasing ways Willie was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting with his sons, family and friends. His most important job, as Willie saw it, was being a father to his four sons and a loving husband to his wife of 43 years, his high school sweetheart, Cindy Crouse Booth.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Bryan Booth. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Jason (Janelle ) and Kevin Booth; brothers, Tom (Judy) Booth and Rick Booth; sisters Donna (Moses) Ludel and Michelle ( George) Schaut; several nieces and nephews, extended family members, and beloved grandchildren, Alisha, Tyler, Madison, Logan and Layton.
A Rosary will be recited 6:00 pm Thursday, October 6th at the Holy Family Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Friday at Yerington Intermediate School gym. Family and friends can also sign his online guest book at www.FRFH.net
