Obituary
Franklin D. Wood passed away at the South Lyon Medical Center early Monday morning, November 16, 2009. He was 76.
Franklin was born in Oakland, California on August 8, 1933 the son of Clyde and Ruth Wood. He served in the U S Navy during the Korean War. He had married Tina Manieri in Jackson Hole, Wyoming on August 8, 1983. They lived in Yerington for the past 14 years. Franklin was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Shriners and also the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed singing Karaoke, playing the Saxophone and also enjoyed dunebuggy riding.
He is survived by his wife, Tina; his daughters Kim Schuster and Michele Hunter; a step-son, James M. Coons; his grandchildren, Colin Wood, Jeffrey Hunter, Crystal Theroux, Breanna Schuster and Chad Schuster. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Frank.
His Memorial service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, December 3rd at the Masonic Lodge in Yerington. Following the service a reception will be held at the Lodge.
