Gayle Irene Johnson passed away Monday afternoon, April 30, 2018 at South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington.  She was 61.

Gayle was born in Bishop, California on June 26, 1956 the daughter of Ivan and Mary Louise (Pueblo) Hanson.  She married Fredrick Johnson in Yerington, Nevada on April 12, 1974.

Gayle had worked as the Headstart Director for over 30 years.  She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Schurz, NV Post #6825, a member of the Wind Spirit Dance Group and member of the Lyon County Theatre of the Arts.  Gayle enjoyed sewing, singing traditional songs, traveling and being with family.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; daughters, Marcey (Jake) Johnson, Denaye Johnson, Rena Reyes-Erickson; brothers, Michael and Walter; sister, Joann Hanson; grandchildren, Moses, Eric, Taya Bobb and Alison Bob; numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jimmy Hanson, Warren Pueblo, Clayton and Duane Hanson, grandparents, Frank and Thelma Pueblo, grandmother, Addie Hanson; aunts, Yvonne Jack, Beverly Bevins; Uncles, Leonard and Clyde Pueblo, and Buster Hanson

Gayle's Memorial service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, May 5th at the Tribal Gym in Bishop with the burial to follow at the Sunland Cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to sign her online guest book at www.FRFH.net .
