Genevieve Mae Logan-Carpenter passed away at her home in Yerington, Nevada on Tuesday afternoon, June 3, 2008. She was 78.

Genevieve was born in Des Moines, Iowa on May 19, 1930 the daughter of Harold and Jean (Lee) Johnson. She had married Ace Logan in Vancouver, Washington on March 13, 1949. She worked as an insurance agent for many years. She has lived in Yerington for the past 15 years coming from Cathlamet, Washington. She was a member of the Yerington Community United Methodist Church, sang in the church choir and was a member of the Yerington Womans Club.

She is survived by chidlren, Dave Logan of Scappoose, Oregon, Judy Jones of Underwood, Washington and Linda Northrup-Keeter of Sandy, Oregon; her grandchildren, Tony Gibler of Eagle Creek, Oregon, Tara Stauch of Mclouth, Kansas, Teresa Sisco of Lake City, Florida, Brandon Logan of Portland, Oregon and Danny, Larry, and Chris Jones of Underwood, Washington; 10 great grandchildren; also by her companion, Galen Carpenter of Yerington, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Ace in October 26, 1997.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday, 1:00 - 3:00pm and on Friday, June 6th from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at the funeral home. The Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, June 14th in Portland. A memorial service will be held in Yerington and will be announced when date and time are set. Burial will be at the Williamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon
