Georges "Mikel" Carpentier Entwistle lll passed away at his home in Yerington on January 4, 2013.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 12th, at 11:00 am at the Yerington Vineyard Church at 307 Broadway Avenue. A reception will follow the service at Casino West in Yerington.


Mikel was born January 8, 1947 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to George & Margaret Entwistle. Joining the Navy in 1964, he served in Vietnam; after leaving the Navy he moved to the West Coast, settling in Nevada where he met and married Sarah Opitz, November 16, 1975. They enjoyed 38 years of marriage and raised three sons and a daughter.
Always the adventurer, Mikel traveled the world on many occasions for business, pleasure, and as a missionary. He worked in many trades, but spent most of his career in the printing industry and law enforcement.
His greatest loves in life were God and his wife, Sarah. Active in church, he hosted home fellowships and Bible studies in his homes in Yerington and in Reno. He traveled to Russia and Israel on many occasions to serve and to share the gospel of Jesus Christ; he was always happy to share his faith.
Mikel was loved by many and will be missed by many. His life was marked by a large network of friends in Nevada, around the country, and across the world. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Sarah, son Kugar Entwistle and grand-daughter Kelly Entwistle; step-sons Jesse Price and Jason Price, daughter Nice' Raphael, his sister Margaret Storck, and nephew Christopher Storck.
