Gilbert Eugene Cook passed away on Monday morning, February 11, 2008 at the Carson Valley Medical Center in Gardnerville, Nevada. He was 72.

Gilbert was born in Atoka, Oklahoma on August 4, 1935 the son of Calvin and Mabel (Underwood) Cook. He had served in the United States Air Force.
He married Linda Dunnam on December 19, 1966 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has lived in Wellington, Nevada for the past eleven years coming from the Mojave, California. He loved animals and working on his farm with his grandkids. He truly loved his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Cook; his children, Terry Cook, Lori Savoie and Deanna Farmer; his five grandchildren, Joey Savoie, Alexa Savoie and Kami Savoie, Devon Farmer and Travis Farmer; his nine brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Crystal and grandson, Dustin.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, February 16th, 2008 at the Smith Valley Baptist Church Hwy 208 at Hudson Way Smith, Nevada with Pastor Travis Walker officiating. Burial will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 19th, 2008 at the Winnemucca Cemetery, Winnemucca, Nevada.
