Obituary
Gladys M. Domenici died on January 14, 2008 at the Rancho Specialty Hospital in Rancho Cucamonga, California. She was 84.
Gladys was born in Smith Valley, Nevada on April 15, 1923 the daughter of Frank and Amelia Gomes. She moved with her family to Fallon, Nevada where she spent most of her childhood. She married Joseph Domenici on October 30, 1939 in Reno, Nevada. They were together for 64 happy years. She was a lifelong homemaker and wife. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Her great grand kids will always remember her as G.G. She was as comfortable helping Dad in the fields as she was in the kitchen cooking meals for the hay crew. She loved the outdoors and couldn't wait to go fishing or a ride in the mountains where she enjoyed exploring new areas. She loved to garden and her favorite flowers were roses. Cooking was another of her favorite activities. She always had a great meal on the table for the family or anyone who stopped by to visit.
She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Wessel of Reno, Nevada, Cecilia and her husband Stan Borek of Harvest, Alabama, and her son, Henry and his wife Diana Domenici of Chino, California; five grandchildren including, Shawn Davis, Tracy Wessel, Joe, Christopher and Anthony Borek; her four great grandchildren, Kendra and Logan Davis, Austin and Grant Borek; her sisters, Marie Madsen Rogers, Annie Titell and her brother, Albert Gomes. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph, her brothers, Joe, Frank and Louie Gomes and her sister, Eva Costello.
A Rosary will be recited 7:00 pm Tuesday, February 5th at the Holy Family Catholic Church.
A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 37 North West Street, Yerington, Nevada.
