Obituary
Harold Leroy Amstrup passed away Thursday afternoon, September 3, 2009 at the South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington, Nevada. He was 85.
Harold was born in Elmwood, Minnesota on December 14, 1923 the son of Charles and Agnes (Peterson) Amstrup. He moved to North Dakota with his family at a young age. He was a World War II veteran having served in the US Navy. He had graduated from North Dakota State University in 1949 with a major in Agriculture. He worked as a teacher and as a County Agent in North Dakota for many years and then worked as a Sales Executive for Dow Chemical from 1955 - 1986. Harold enjoyed playing golf. He married Dollye Jersig in Lafayette, California on March 18, 2000.
Harold is survived by his wife, Dollye Amstrup; his children, Randi Seibert, Mark Amstrup and Charles James Amstrup; his two brothers, Norman and Carl.
A Memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, September 12th at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington with Pastor Everett Garwood officiating. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion. Harold's cremated remains will be buried in the family plot in North Dakota.
