Harold E. Moore passed away in his home on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He was 85.

Harold was born on December 14, 1931 in Broadwater, NE to his parents William and Anna Moore. They moved to Homedale, ID in 1936 and ran a family farm. After graduation from high school, Harold moved to Hawthorne, NV to work construction. There he met and married Joyce Thompson in 1952. He continued to work in the building trade in northern Nevada and in 1960 bought a pack station in Virginia Lakes, CA which the family ran until 1972. Harold, Joyce and their children worked summers at the pack station and during the off-season Harold did construction. From Memorial Day through Labor Day they would take fishermen on extended trips into Yosemite to fish and from September through hunting season they would pack hunters from the Buckeye Camp. Harold obtained his contractor's license in 1977 and in 1992 Harold and Joyce moved to Yerington, NV. Joyce passed away in 1995. Harold started work as a building inspector for Lyon County in 1996 and was re-married to Rosetta Thompson-Grow. Rosetta passed away in 2007 and Harold retired from Lyon County in 2008 at the age of 77. He spent his remaining years farming and raising livestock on his property in Yerington which he loved.

Harold is survived by his daughter, Gayle Cangiano; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Micki Moore; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Diana Moore; daughter and son-in-law, Desiree and George Ehly; son and daughter-in-law, Dutch and Vickie Moore; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by wife, Joyce Moore; wife, Rosetta Moore; four brothers and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 14th at 12:00 Noon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 600 N. Oregon Street Yerington, NV. All are welcome to attend.  Family and friends are invited to sign his online guest book at www.FRFH.net .
