Harvey Williams passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014 at the South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington, Nevada. He was 87.
Harvey was born in Arkansas on July 6, 1927. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II, and received the Victory medal and Asiatic-Pacific ribbon.
He worked as a Painter for many years. He has lived in Yerington for the past 17 years. Was a member of the Moose Lodge, and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and had received many trophies.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; his son, Gary Williams and step-children, Bret L. Bennett, Mary Holland Marks; his siblings, Lucille Williams, Monafaye O'Shield, Tedola Hammock, Dennis Williams, Michael Williams, Barbara Ann Russell, and Rudolph Williams; his grandchildren, Donald James Williams, Cary Williams and Amanda Bell Bennett.
Harvey's service will be held 11:00 am Monday, October 27 at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Hwy 208 Yerington and burial with military honors will be held 2:00 pm Monday, at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Fernley.
