Hazel V. Chisum passed away at Whispering Willows in Reno, Nevada on Wednesday morning, December 3, 2014. She was 89.

Hazel was born December 9, 1924 in Ely, Nevada the daughter of Amature and Ethel (Fallini) Arigoni. After high school she attended beauty school. She married Claude W. Chisum in Tonopah, Nevada on April 7, 1943.

Hazel moved to Yerington from Tonopah and had lived here for over 70 years. She was a lifelong bookkeeper for Yerington Ready Mix & Concrete. She was a Cub Scout Leader, was a Baptist Bible School Teacher. She served as a board member on the Lyon County Drug & Alcohol Board. She enjoyed needlepoint, painting. She was a very proud Mother and Grandmother.

Hazel is survived by her Son, James and his wife Kail chisum; her sister, Audrey and her husband Ernie Glock; her grandchildren, Shawna (Mike) Howard of Reno, Jimmy (Kellie) Chisum of Yerington, Charissa Rumel of Tacoma, Washington and Josh Chisum of Tacoma, Washington; her great grandchildren, Logan Howard of Spokane, WA, Lucas Howard of Reno, Olivia Rumel of Tacoma, Katie and Emma Chisum of Yerington, Stephanie & Cody Hampel of Yerington and Stacey Hampel of Spring Creek, Nevada, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Claude Chisum, her sister, Eveleen Barcellos and her brother, Lawrence Arigoni.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, December 9th at the Yerington Vineyard Fellowship Church, 307 Broadway Avenue Yerington. Burial will be in the family plot at Valley View Cemetery. A gathering will be held following the service at her son's home, 333 Broadway Avenue.
