Helen Parlanti Lamkin passed away peacefully at her home in Yerington, Nevada with her family by her side on Friday afternoon, April 1, 2011. Helen was 88.

Helen was born in San Jose, California on July 9, 1922. She had lived the past 20 years in Yerington coming from Sparks, Nevada. Helen was a teacher for 30 years. She not only taught children but everyone she encountered the value of a good joke and the beauty of a pure heart. She enjoyed Gardening, Knitting and Crocheting. She was a member of Eastern Star and RTA.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Rochelle L. Olsen; her four grandchildren, Annette Wuchterl, Lisa Lynch, Tina Olsen and Lori Olsen; her six great grandchildren, Joshua, Tailor, Stephanie, Alan, Shane and Logan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, William Parlanti and her second husband, Laurence Lamkin; a brother and sister.

Helen was compassionate and loved by all. Helen will be truly missed.............Go Giants!!

Helen's memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington
with Naomi Chapter #16, Order of Eastern Star providing the service.
