Obituary
Henry Herman Koehler passed away peacefully at his home in Yerington, Nevada on February 16th, 2014. He was 85.
Henry was born in San Francisco, California to parents James Bernard And Marjorie Elaine Koehler on November 30th, 1928. His siblings were Jim Koehler and twin brother Frank Koehler. The family moved to the Samoan Islands when Henry was only 2 and from there moved to Lovelock and Fallon before settling in Yerington around 1945.
Henry entered the US army in 1950 for a short time and received an honorable discharge when he returned to Yerington and married the love of his life Nancy Ann Lommori in 1952. They raised three children, Craig, Kathy and Donna.
He worked at the Anaconda mine for the majority of his career from 1953 until the closing of the mine in 1978. He then was employed as an Assayer at Gold Hill mine in Silver City for the remainder of his working years until retiring in 1986.
Henry enjoyed gardening, fishing and home building projects such as the construction of an 800 sq ft barn with the help of his young son, Craig. After he turned the garden over to Nancy he enjoyed his napping hours upstairs in the barn with the family cat. He especially enjoyed the view around Mason Valley taking drives at least three times a day admiring the mountains and fields. Henry was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his kids and grand children.
Preceding him in death, father Bernard James Koehler, mother Marjorie Elaine Koehler and twin brother Franklin Edward Koehler.
He is survived by wife Nancy and three children Craig, Kathy and Donna along with nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held February 28th, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church with rosary held at 10:30 am and funeral immediately following at 11:00 am.
